Whenever anyone says "Orlando," the first thing most of us think is Disney World. It is a fun and exciting place with attractions for all ages. It is especially special for the little ones. They do their best to cater to young families and it is truly geared to family fun.
A relative newcomer when compared to Disney World, it also is a nice clean park with a lot of family fun. A lot of the attractions are based on Universal's cartoon characters which will be readily identifiable by the kids.
You have got to go see Shamu. Kids of all ages love love the animals, displays, and shows. There is a lot to see and do. You might be able to see everything you want in one day, depending on your stamina. This one of those places you can go to several times and never get tired of.
A little over an hours drive will get you to the Kennedy Space Center. Most of the displays and things to do are geared towards adults and older kids. Not real attractive for the little ones. But if you are interested in science and space exploration you can't skip this. And as long as you are here you might as well spend some time at the ocean on beautiful Cocoa Beach.
If there are not enough parks to occupy all your time in Orlando, you may want to go the other direction and visit Busch Gardens in Tampa. It also is about an hour away and you may want to visit the beach on the Gulf Coast.
